MacBook Deals with an iMac, Air and Macbook Pro – for 200 bucks? hell yea

So I received this newsletter today from a penny auctions website about this nice auction going on the October 20: An iMac, Air and Macbook deals, going for a fraction of the price.

Not only that, they’re also giving a coupon that will double your bids (effectively doubling your chances) AND they will give back all your bids on the October 20, even if you win something or you lose them all. So you basically can have plenty of fun, win something nice and still participate on this special auction macbook deals auction. Sounds pretty nice, if you ask me. They even make fun of those infamous macbook student discount in which you apply and get a nice (by nice I mean ridiculous) 5% discount.

Although there is some bashing here and there about penny auctions, I had good experiences with this particular site. They are accredited by a major security firm and carry insurance from them, plus they’ve been audited. I won a few best-buy vouchers from them (nothing like an iMac, Air or Macbook Pro, but still much more than I spent). So yes, I have had loads of fun and made a few bucks back – which is a nice plus. Now I want a new Air or iMac and I don’t even need to beg Apple for a macbook student discount.

I find a real shame that the US government is now going after the penny auction sites (mainly because they call it gambling – it’s gambling like poker is gambling, for God’s sake). It is not freaking gambling, it’s a nice way of getting stuff for a decent price paying much less than market price using skill and focus. It’s a win/win situation if you ask me. Where else you can get an iMac Air or Macbook Pro for a fraction? Not in a lot of places, right? So let the good guys do their thing, audit them and keep our civil liberties, will you?

Anyway, just wanted to give a heads up if you’re excited about this opportunity (I know I am). I’ll be evaluating my own strategies all week long to see if I can nail these 3 macbook deals. I know I will get a nice, chunky bidding package now and request for the top up in October. Making 1000 bids turn into 2000 and then 4000… I don’t even need luck, no sir. Got enough ammo for this, a nice bidding strategy and plenty of time (October 20 is a Thursday, by the way.)

I’m not the guy that usually go out posting, but this time I felt like I needed to share. Hopefully people will find this informative, even those that didn’t like the whole macbook student discount joke (gee, get a life?) or are skeptical about penny auctions: – This is a good start. Feel free to drop me a message to discuss strategies or what not or even if you want some more information. I know a geek like me will be desperate to get on the bidding thrill and maybe win three of the finest computers Apple ever built.

Oh, BTW people, In case you’re interested in the macbook deals coupon, here it is: MACBOOKDEALSPLUSIMAC
